Move-In Schedule

Please copy all parties involved in the move-in of your exhibit on this
communication.

set-up staff to bring your exhibitry onto the Show floor between
10:00am & 5:00pm on Tuesday, November 28th.
-
You may stay on the Show floor until
8:00pm and return the following day at 8:00am to complete your set-up.

-
Drive-in Access – Vehicles will be allowed to drive in
to a designated area of the show floor for off-loading ONLY. Please
unload your exhibitry at your booth and move your vehicle to the
underground parking prior to setting your display.
If you prefer, you
may park in the underground, and using the escalators and elevators,
carry or roll your exhibitry to your booth through the front of the
exhibit hall. To ensure the safety of yourself and others, you must be
able to hold onto the handrail of the escalator with one hand at all
times.
Material handling –
to book material handling
services (forklift or pump-truck) for offloading of your exhibtry,
please refer to the Official Suppliers section of the online manual or
contact Exhibitor Services, GES Canada prior to the Show Tel:
905-283-0500 Fax: 905-283-0501.
Advance Warehousing and Transportation – GES Canada, as the Official Transportation company, has
access to the Show floor at times outside of the scheduled move-in. As
such, using them for your transportation needs eliminates the need for
the marshalling yard and gives peace of mind when shipping from out of
country or from show to show by allowing you the opportunity to take
advantage of the advance warehouse. Please refer to the online manual or
contact Ray Debono, Logistics Manager at 905-283-0573 for more
information.
Personal Protective Equipment
– Hazards that lead to potential injuries to feet, head, hands and
eyes are common in many industries. The wide variety and volume of
work activity carried out during the move-in process can expose
employees to these types of injuries. As such, it is advised that all
persons involved in the move-in process wear proper protective
footwear. In areas designated as construction zones, and where
overhead work is being done, hardhats and proper protective footwear
are mandatory per the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
In closing, I would like to remind you
that workplace and workers safety is everyone’s responsibility and as
such, all participants must comply with the legislation contained in the
Occupational Health & Safety Act, which is governed by the Province of
Ontario.
All persons active in the onsite
activities should be properly trained in and aware of the appropriate
safety responsibilities pertinent to the tasks they are performing. All
equipment should be inspected and in proper working condition.
